Back at it..................

Might make adjustments to my buildings, can't seem to come up with roads that will work and look good. I think I might change them somewhat in the front part, maybe face them towards each other like a street scene. I believe I will try and get my module built next week. Tried to get shots tonight but I can't seem to get a good focus I need more lighting I think.

I think I have all I need to get started in building my module. Might ask a friend of mine Scott Jay, to help with the building. I have not built one by myself, so this time I will have to pay closer attention to the ins and outs. Maybe even take a few shots and post them on here.
I 'm liking my track plan, only have to think about the road work for the building industries . Also about the ballast, trying to decide if I want to make it like a small yard area, or like sidings................time will tell, any thoughts anyone?

The West End..............

The West End area of the layout, you can see the separation at the four foot mark. Once this is made to a Styrofoam module it will be all one piece at 2X8 feet. This is going to be my switching area and be modeled more as a Industrial Area. The mountain back ground is from the first NDR. I placed it there as a background for now, much better than the bare cement wall..........

The East End............

Looking eastward, the four foot mark is the little blue building in the middle of the photo, the DC power supply I'm using for my track testing, once the track plan is complete, the DCC system will be added and wired accordingly. Right now I'm able to operate the whole thing with just two wires connected behind the engine at the bottom of the screen. Please post any thoughts you might have on what you see so far,

April 17, 2011 and finally I have been re-bitten with the modelling bug!!! I have decided to test the waters by starting out with 2X8 foot module. A switching layout and a very busy one as well. I'm just about done of the track work, doing it on bare plywood. testing the track to be sure everything will work as planned in my head. After I get all the bugs ironed out I will be building the module out of Styrofoam and 3/8 plywood framing. Then transferring the track plan on to the new module and beginning the scenery work.
I'll post some picture of my progress tomorrow. ........
